What recording modes are available?
The digital video recorder can perform continuous, scheduled or motion activated recordings.
Can other cameras be used with SC184 digital video recorder?
Yes. This digital video recorder is compatible with most analog cameras. Other Orion cameras such as SC105 and SC106 are also compatible with this digital video recorder.
Can users receive notification when alarm is triggered?
Yes. The digital video recorder can be set up to send email notification when alarm is triggered.
Can additional cameras be added to this system?
Yes. This kit already comes with 4 cameras but the digital video recorder supports up to 8 channels. 4 more cameras can be added to this system.
Can the camera be used outdoors?
Yes, the camera has IP66 outdoor rating. However, it is recommended to mount the camera under an eave.
What is the camera night vision effective range?
Approximately 20m.
Why is the night vision image in black and white color?
This is normal. Night vision infra-red LEDs function in this manner.
What is the maximum cable length that can be used to connect the camera to the digital video recorder?
Up to 100m cable length can be used. The camera cable can be extended with SC103 Video & Power Cable 30m.
